PROFITABLE SOURCING

Let’s talk about the lifeblood of your business: Sourcing. If you don't have inventory, you don't have a business.

There are three main ways to source:

1.  Retail Arbitrage (RA): Driving to Walmart or Target and scanning clearance aisles. Great for beginners with low capital, but incredibly time-consuming.

2.  Online Arbitrage (OA): Buying from websites (like Kohl's, Target, or WebstaurantStore) to sell on Amazon. Better for scaling, but margins can be tight.

3.  Wholesale: Opening accounts directly with brands or distributors. Takes more upfront cash, but it’s the most sustainable long-term model.

Tips for Success: What Most Sellers Wish They Knew Earlier

Look past the first page: When doing OA, the best deals are never on page one of a retailer's sale section. Dig deep.

Test small: Found a great product? Awesome. Buy 5 or 10 of them, not 100. Test the waters to make sure they actually sell and don't get hit with IP (Intellectual Property) complaints before you go all-in.
