SURVIVING THE PREP RULES

Let's have a real talk about Amazon’s warehouse rules. They are strict. If you mess up, Amazon will hit you with "unplanned prep fees" (which are expensive), or worse, they will suspend your ability to send in shipments.

If it’s a liquid, it needs to be double-sealed. If it’s plush, it needs a polybag. If a polybag has a 5-inch opening, it legally needs a suffocation warning. Everything needs a specific barcode (FNSKU) covering the original UPC. It’s a lot to keep track of.

Tips for Success: What Most Sellers Wish They Knew Earlier

Expiration dates are a nightmare: If you sell groceries or topicals, the expiration date format must be exactly MM-DD-YYYY or MM-YYYY, printed in a 36-point font. If you get this wrong, they will destroy your inventory.

Box weight limits: Never send a box to FBA that weighs more than 50 lbs, unless it contains a single oversized item. They will flag your account.
